Personal Biography

Linda Hawkins attended Boise State College, after which she entered the advertising profession in Boise, Idaho and later, Los Angeles, California. While working at various agencies, she provided multiple talents as an art director, designer, comp artist and in-house illustrator.

To accomodate a flexible schedule while raising her 2 young daughters, she left advertising and focused on her illustration career. Besides advertising and editorial illustration, she enjoyed working with product developers in the toy industry. Her strong design and illustration skills were showcased through the conceptual ideas and drawings and finished illustrations she provided for many toy products.

While illustrating this book, she has enjoyed her introduction to the famous Nasreddin and has learned many valuable lessons. She has also learned that one can be confused and enlightened at the same time!
